We pioneered community benefits and social value in procurement. Some years back, at Haringey Council, we piloted integration of community benefits into procurement processes and contract management and led impactful supply chain projects; "Trade Local" built the capacity of local businesses, charities and community organisations to sell to the Council and "Buying a Better London" identified and addressed unnecessary barriers to smaller organisations being able to compete fairly for Council contracts. In 2018/17 we created RSSB's Common Social Impact Framework for Rail.
